To start off I live in Greece, so the rules/law here is different than the UK but I still need some sort of advice. My parents own a property in Greece and the one tenant has not paid his rent for over a year now, he owes 14 000 euros. Whenever my parents talk to him he closes the phone on them. This has happended to the extent that my dad has gone to the lawyer, which has issued him an order or payment. Well he did not pay yet, the next step is an order of evacuation. In Greece, this means he has to leave the property and may even be free from paying, the money he has to pay goes to the receiver of revenue instead of to my parents. The problem is the court is finalising the papers of evacuation, but this has taken about 2 months now. Knowing the Greek beaucratic system, this may take for ever for the court to send the papers to this stupid tenant. My parents are really depressed as this man owes them a lot of money,and they really need the money that he owes them. I really don't know what to do, I am so angry at this man and its not fair that the legal system here is not working fast enough to kick the man out of our property. He has been living there for free for the past 14 months!!! Please any advice will help as this situation has also started affecting me somewhat as well as this sitaution is affecting my families finances, we can't afford many things now because of this mess.
