Am I over reacting to my son?
Asked: Am I over reacting to my son?
Last night my son (14) had a bunch of friends over (12 I think). One of them came downstairs really early and went home, and I asked him what was going on upstairs and he said to go see for yourself. I went upstairs and they were all smoking weed and drinking beer. I was furious, I told the other kids that they can either call their parents to come pick them up or I will call the police. I made them explain to their parents what they were doing, because if something was to happen to one of them, it would be my fault. I took away my son's computer and his iPhone and iPad, and took the TV out of his room. I told him he can forget about going to see any of those kids ever again and can also forget about leaving his room after school. He can sit there and do his homework, eat and go to bed. I feel like I might be over reacting a bit, but my husband and I DO NOT tolerate underage drinking and drugs in our home. Am I being too hard on him?

No relabel internet, probably no TV and no cell service?
Asked: No relabel internet, probably no TV and no cell service?
We are going to be moving to a home that doesn't have relabel internet, no tv possibly and no cell service (unless it's verizon). Should we just try to live life with out these things? I know both my family and I will have a hard time not being able to check our emails unless we go to a public library or some such thing. I don't think smart phones are an option as I asked my mom and she said they are "to small" I also think my parents may be a little non-tech savi.

Legal video downloads that are DRM free?
Asked: Legal video downloads that are DRM free?
I have my parents set up with a generic multimedia player attached to their TV. Can anyone tell me of a paid service I can download tv episodes/movies from than will actually allow me to download the file/s and play them on the device (not a question about format compatibility)? Thanks.

I want to become a new actor?
Asked: I want to become a new actor?
(please read the entire question ,please)well i wanted to become a new TV/film actor since 8th grade.right no I'm a freshman in high school. i will attend drama class in couple of months or in sophmore year. well my parents are low income, i have $700 saved, and ill have 800 more at the end of the summer. is there like anything you can do without going to acting classes first. im not saying i was born with talent, but what if i am, how can you show it to an agent or whatever. can you just call up an agent and talk with them and if they like you, you can take headshots later, and thats it your in and without doing any classes. like is there any way to do that, i hope you know what i mean, example will be like going and seeing an agent with no resume, no headshots. like how do all this actors become famous with little or no money? ik luck plays a big role in this but still. im not saying i have to be famous, but why not, if i don't become famous its okay with me, but i have to become an actor, i don't care if it is going to take years to succeed, but i will never give up. my other question is lets say that there there is no way to talk to an agent and stuff and become famous without going to any classes. what are the best classes to take in LA? classes that teens can go, like i said im freshman im going to be 15 tomorrow. so what are the best affordable film/TV acting classes in LA that a 15 year old can go?

Could talking to her help me?
Asked: Could talking to her help me?
I've been through a lot and I'm really young, only 15. At this point in my life I feel worthless. I know I'm smart, I have goals, I'm nice to people, helpful and outgoing, but recently I felt down, so I skipped 2 weeks of school. On Thursday my tutor took me to counselor. She accused me of handing a wrong phone number to my mom, because "it doesn't exist". She said I need to take my mother to school and that I'm in trouble. Here's the thing. My school annoys me to the point I feel almost suicidal and I'm naturally an optimist. My classmates don't care about me. They treat themselves like family, and I'm an outsider. There are only 2 persons in whole school (I mean I know LOADS of people, but I don't want to become friends with them) I can hang around with, but they graduate this year. School is not my dream. I love Chemistry, Physics, Maths and English (I'm foreign), but my true dream is to travel the world and meet new people, new cultures, maybe even make a TV programme about it. I want to study abroad, I want US citizenship and volunteer in Peace Corps. I know I need education to earn money, I plan on becoming an architect, but I have this thought I'm going to fail at this, because I have Bc and Cs and I don't believe in grades, when everybody else obsess about them.
I think I have depression or even bipolar disorder, but it's hard for me to talk to my mum about that, because I feel like she's not going to take it seriously and is going to ban me from television, internet, going out with friends. And she's great person, but overprotective. She has her own issues, financial and medical, and I don't want her to worry about me. I don't want to call my dad, because last time I saw him he called me "a f*cking punk" and said he doesn't want to see me in his house.
Do you think if I talk about everything with my counselor, explain to her what I'm going through, promise I'll never skip school again and take some punishment, she's going to forget about it? I don't want to have problems with school and I don't want my parents to find out and worry about me.

My 7-year-old sleepwalks…really weird…anyone else?
Asked: My 7-year-old sleepwalks…really weird…anyone else?
Since she was like 4, my 7 year old daughter has been sleep walking, but not like typical sleep walking. The last 2 nights in a row she has come out of her bedroom hours after she went to bed, walksinto the living room where her father andI are watching TV, and when wesay things like "What are you doing?" she says "Coming out here to watch TV with you guys" or "I wanted to watch TV" andthings like that. You'd think she was wide awake, except that when you ask her questions, half ofthem attainincoherant answers, oras she's walking back to bed she'll try to climb under her bed or she'll just completely lay down inthe hallway, or head towards the bathroom.A few times she's been yelling or crying or talking in her sleep and when I come in it's obvious she's not awake but I ask her what's wrong and she just goes "Um, Iwas trying…um…um…" like shecan't really talk and I just tuck her back in for bed.Once I even hear d noise coming from herroom so I went in there and she was under her desk, she had unplugged all of her stuff (light, fan, alarm clock) and she had no ideawhy she was under there, she was incoherent. The girl issmart…way smart for her 1st grade level. They've asked me if I wanted toskip her ahead 2 grades. She alsohasgoodcommon sense, and except for the recent development of lying toget out of apparent trouble (a new thing she does, apparently common for her age and intelligence), she's a really good kid…does her homework, reads, plays her tablet, loves her brother and us.If I ask her about the episode the next morning, she has no idea what I'm talking about, and her memory is usually excellent.
So what the hell is going on???
Is she stressed?
Is this something I should take her to a specialist for?
I feel like a paranoid parent just writing this question.
Does anyone else have a kidwho does this?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
