Why do people need someone they can resist or fight against?
Asked: Why do people need someone they can resist or fight against?
We have all been in a situation where some idiot decides to be loud in a movie theater or some quiet place for no apparent reason. Some people that we as people come into contact with on a daily basis has a chip on their shoulders or a bone to pick with everyone. These unresolved and bottled-up feelings can be traced back many decades and centuries such as the rise and fall of the Ottoman Empire, colonialism in America, slavery, Civil Rights movement era, etc. Try asking a Chinese person about the Japanese. North vs South Korea, or a Jew about the Arabs. You'll spark a fire and all hell with break loose. All in all, what it boils down to in my opinion is that parents have been too strict, overly involved, not involved enough, or a combination of the aforementioned in the lives of their offspring. Thus, leading to a era where there is constant rebellion, heavy drug usage, public display of disobedience to the law and violence done by law-enforcing officials. Just ask the Tea Party affiliates who hold no barriers when discussing women's issues, gay rights, abortion, Obama, war on terror, etc. People do not filter what comes in their heads and leaves out of their mouths. I get it, growing up sucked for like 99 percent of the people on this planet, but it shouldn't have such a enormous impact on you as an adult. Ironically, people have become as screwed up, or worse off than folks who came before them in this society.

Do you think I can get into these great boarding schools?
Jenna Asked: Do you think I can get into these great boarding schools?
OK, so I am in 6th grade (almost the end, ends at June or May). I am starting to think if I can get into any of these boarding schools- Andover, Hotchkiss, Choate, Lawerenceville, Cate.. I don't do extracurricular activities because I came and do homework and a lot of other work. I am also currently living in South Korea. I am a Korean. I go to an international school, but I have some trouble in my ELA( I am in the 52% in the world) for math we skip a grade so I am doing 7th grade math so I am ok. The scores I am getting are like B plus A minus or A or sometimes A plus. I do a lot of dancing and basketball at home… I go to Princeton Review on Saturdays 9:00- 12:30. I come home and eat and rest and do Homework for like 1 Hour. And I basically have like 3 tests in one week so I study or I get tutored.. But anyways.. I study for like 5-6 hours on weekends/ for 4-5 hours on weekdays.. and I do a lot during summer break.. I really care about my future. I do chinese..I might move to the US starting 8th grade so I might do some extracurricular… But do you think I am fit for these schools because my parents haven't really been impressed by my studying so I really want them to be impressed.. My sister is at college..Columbia so they are always comparing me to her childhood.. I am on the right track? Oh i am I also love art!
