Matt Asked: Is my baby getting enough nourishment?

My fiance and I just had our little girl on Monday night. Today was the first day we could come home. Our baby is only feeding for 20 minutes or so and has trouble latching. She becomes very sleepy but does have regular wet diapers and only one dirty diaper (not a large amount) since we have gotten home. We are new parents and are just concerned she may not be getting enough to eat. We try to feed her every 2-3 hours, but sometimes she shows little interest. The most recent feeding she did very well. Is it just because Mom and baby have to both get used to the feedings? any advice is welcome also.

Alright my parents are tight pocketed about money, and I understand that. But our internet is s***. We have a verizon air card with a limit of 5gb usage. I would love to play xbox live and game on the computer and download all the songs that I hear. But when I ask my parents to switch to something better they say ours is the best out there and nothing can compare which is a total lie. I'm asking for ANY forms of persuasion to change their mind about this!?

My parents watch a lot of TV, so I decided to get them a Roku for Christmas. I wanted to get them the top of the line XS, but I couldn't afford the extra $30, so I got them the XD instead. Of course, they loved it either way, but I still wish I could've gotten them the XS. Is there really that much of a difference?

Matt Asked: why does it feel like ill never be married or in a relationship and will be single my whole life?

I am 24 and currently an art student, and also have started to go to a church, because i have decided faith is important to me. I went through really bad periods of depression the last two years. I have been single my whole life and it really bothers me, before ill admit i was a little shy and never really made an attempt to speak to any women, because i was shyer, now im getting over my shyness a bit with women and im making an attempt to take control of my life and do stuff, and while things are getting better, i still feel quite alone when im by myself excercising or walking in san francisco when i see happy couples walking around holding hands, and sometimes it feels like im the only single guy in san francisco. ive been told im attractive, im 6 feet tall, 24 have brown,blonde hair and i am in shape and most of my diet is vegeterian and i feel physically better, but sometimes i feel like is it all worth it, i am also vain and care about how i look, but im starting to think it dosent matter cause women dont even notice me. in high school i never had a girlfriend and when i went to dances i never danced with anyone. I know people say positive thinking goes along way, and stuff takes time and that i have to be confident, but sometimes i feel like being postiive and more confident wont translate into me being more happy as much as i try, i am also currently job hunting and still live with my parents so im not happy about that either. i am someone who is looking for a monogomous happy relationship, and i know its selfish and sour because all my cousins are getting married and, people around me are all happy and in relationships and im still single. i honestly wouldint want to live if i had to know that i would spend every night alone for the rest of my life, i guess god dosent want me to be happy, even though im getting baptised in april, and while i like my art i feel like people dont like it as much as i like it. just starting to really question my life and while getting out and doing stuff is a good way to go, i feel loneley when im outside on my own so i guess the alternative is to let myself go at home and not shave and get fat, since it dosent look like ill ever get a relationship or ever find a job. plus my sex life has really sucked and its starting to get to me i feel so wortless like i wish i were asexual since ive only had sex two times in my life.

I'm going to be getting a tattoo on my wrist this weekend and my parents would flip (I'm of age to get it on my own) this tattoo has alot of meaning to me and I need to get it. I was wondering if there any good tips out there on how I should hide it. (the tattoo is to remind me that I do not need to self-harm anymore, and my parents check my arms from time to time to make sure I've not cut)

Matt Asked: How can I help my friend who gets beaten by his father?

This kid is my best friend in the whole world. I'm 18 and he's 17. I'm about to go off to college, but he'll still be a senior in high school. He would tell me about how much he wants to just be on his own, and how lucky I am to finally be done with high school. I bring this up because until recently, I thought he was just feeling that common teenage desire to get out of the house and move on to bigger, better things. But apparently this situation is much more serious than I had previously thought.

He had started smoking a while ago, and never really told me why. Today, his mom caught him with a pack of cigarettes, and he told me about how she was angry and disappointed about it. Knowing that his dad was more strict, I asked what he had done if he caught him (my friend) smoking. He said his dad would probably pull on his hair and hit him in the face. Surprised by how specific his response was, I asked if anything like this had ever happened before. He said yes, but he never wanted to tell anybody about it. I don't know how severe or frequent the beatings are. Later he mentioned that the whole reason he started smoking in the first place was to "piss him off."

Now I'm worried about how I should handle this. I want him to live in a safe environment until he gets out of the house, but I don't want to get the law involved…at least not right away. His dad is on a business trip, so he's not in any danger right now. He said that he thinks he took the whole rebellious teenager thing too far, so that tells me that he thinks he deserves the punishment…which is not true! No parent should ever hit their child, under any circumstances. But he doesn't realize that, because apparently nobody taught him about child abuse. It makes me wonder if his younger sister was ever harmed.

I don't know if I should call the police or social services or anybody, because he specifically told me not to. He says that without his dad's income, they won't be able to support themselves. His mom doesn't make much money selling make-up, and both children go to a private high school…and they want to go to college. So I don't want to ruin their lives by trying to help his, but I can't just sit there and do nothing while my best friend continues to get physically abused. What can I do to help out my best friend?

Well i've known my friend for a long time and now hes 14. and he is now really quiet, sensitive, and isn't really that social, and i've also noticed that when he walks, he walks with his head to down looking at the ground and his hands in his pockets, i believe this is from low self esteem and low self confidence. and people seem to make fun of him quite a bit and he just takes it, does anyone know whats wrong? i'm really worried for him. is it a mental thing? oh and, his parents are not abusive. they are really nice people. Please tell me whats wrong D:
