Right before graduation I found out I was pregnant. I told my family and everyone actually surprised me and seemed to be very excited except for my mom. I can understand her feelings b/c I wasn't to thrilled about the idea of having a baby either especially since the father and I broke up a few weeks before I found out, but I did expect some support from her.Now as time passes I'm starting to become more excited myself especially with my grandmother and aunt already going overboard. I'm saving money and buying baby items as I see them go on sale, but whenever I try to ask her questions or talk aboutbaby things with her she ignores me and rolls her eyes which is hurtful. I've been having a lot of medical issues lately and when I ask her to go with me to the doctor, or update her on my appointments she changes the subject or just ignores me. I try ignoring her actions myself, but one day I just broke down and told her that felt she wasn't being supportive and she made it seem like I said something wrong. Every person she talked to that day she told them what I said and put on some front as if hurt her feelings and she told me to get over it and in all actuality she just sat there pouting like a big kid.One time I told my aunt about my mom and how I think she hates my baby she told me my mom will eventually get over it, but I honestly don't think she will. I just don't know what to do or how to feel. I cry almost every night to myself about it. She acts as if she is ashamed I'm pregnant which I really don't understand b/c she gets excited over my teenage cousins getting knocked up and my high school dropout cousins that are on welfare having more babies. I understand I'm going to be a single mom and it's going to be hard, but I feel at least I'm trying to make a better life for my child. I have a college degree and I started my job only 2 days after graduation. Is there anyone whose parents had a change of heart after the baby came?
