Me and my girlfried are in a distant relationship. I live in the Middle East and she lives in Europe, but she comes from a Far East country and is very likely to move there for work in a month. Today we were talking about it and I said I'd expect at least one msg a day, to keep me feeling thought of and just to know what's going on with her. Our parents don't know about us yet and we want to keep it that way for now. So I don't expect her to video chat or call often, and the time difference… she said she will be very busy and that she won't be able to message me every single day. Now we are talking everyday for hours and I really don't see us suddenly not talking often and not even getting a message from her. I got angry and accused her of not caring for me, well we argued. Is 5min a day to write a short message really hard to find? I'm busy too and I always find time to talk to her. Can a distant relationship withstand with this little contact with each other? I need the contact, I've been in distant relationships before and we've been talking at least once a day and my current gf says she won't even send me a msg. We are serious about each other, we plan to get engaged soon and tell our parents, but how can I know she won't suddenly stop caring about me. Contact is very important over distance isnt it?
