me and my boyfriend are 20 and we want to get married how would this work?

BabyJackson Asked: me and my boyfriend are 20 and we want to get married how would this work?

we're both in college and we get Financial aid through our parents income as well as get medical (which we both need). we both have jobs as well as go to school. my question is if we actually got married thissummer, how would financial aid work and how would we get medical? Like what are some routes we could take if we actually did this?

depends where you live etc. ring your financial aid to find out. any other source of information could be completely wrong and if you rely on it and it turns out untrue, that wouldn't be good!

We can't tell you this. There's many factors that determine how you'll get financial aid and medical insurance.

You're a big girl, find it out yourself.

Financial aid would be based off of your income as a couple then. And you would have to buy your own health insurance. Once married you are no longer legally able to be under your parents health care plans.

There is no reason to rush to get married. Wait until you finish college and have figured out what your loan repayments are going to be. Live with each other and see if you can handle that. You don't need to be married to be in a committed, loving relationship. You don't need to get married to prove anything to anyone. Just wait until you are financially ready to handle paying for a wedding and a home and all the bills that come with it.
