He was very young-minded due to a lack of education and poor parenting. Bashani and her parents took him in from an orphanage as their own son, but made sure the two children knew they were not related, but that they should still love each other as family. For the first month or so, the boy acted as a house guest, not approaching anyone too suddenly or quickly. This confused Bashani, but she did not speak to him until the full month had gone by. Then she decided to confront him. They talked for a short while. Bashani learned that he knew very little in terms of general knowledge, and she immediately felt as though she had to be his teacher. From then on, they got to know each other through the process of learning, with a student-teacher sort of relationship.
