I'm a 19 year old girl, I have been driving for three years and this is my first accident. I rear ended a car on the freeway, but slammed on my breaks so newer mustang in front of me just had some scuffs on the back but my 98 honda accord is totaled. I found out from my parents that I am on my own insurance, and this insurance will only cover the price of the mustang damages and not my car at all. So basically I'm stuck with no car, and I start my first job Monday morning. I guess I basically know im screwed, I'm just seeing if anybody out there has any advice for me. Thanks.

Reason with the insurance company. See what happens. If nothing, Sell your car for scrap and try and buy a cheap car for now until you have worked a bit, then you can sell it and get a nicer car.

if you only had liability there isn't much you can do.start looking for cheap transportation.check craigslist to see if there is anything in your price range or if your parents can help you out.
