Anyone headed towards “Dad Drive” or moving towards being a father has to be prepared for the same. And the dad to be has to have a good navigation to park himself into this drive. He has to be careful, zealous and cautious all at the same time. He has to be more patient and persevering in situations involving child care and handling. If his wife is still in labor the dad to be must be able to take care of her and look after her daily diet and nutrition. This is because the diet and nutrition as also the mental state of the mother decides the physical and mental state of the child. A happy and healthy mother gives birth to a happy and healthy child.
Once labor starts, he will have to accompany her to the selected place as appointments don’t work with labor. A child birth is both a moment of joy and pride for the dad. A dad to be has to show his happiness and joy to his wife, when the event has happened. He has to suppress his personal choices with the childbirth, such as having a boy or a girl and be glad with whatever the result. He must show love and affection to his wife once the child birth has happened as she has undergone labor. Once the child is brought back home the dad to be has to plan a proper diet and nutrition for his little offspring. A day old child lives off his mother’s milk. But, he would have to be on a diet of liquid wheat, rice, vegetables, etc once he ages into months. Also, he will have to be fed with bottles of cow milk. A dad to be would also have to be patient with his child wetting his nappies frequently, as children have a tendency to wet their nappies so very often. Many babies have a nature of waking up and weeping frequently at night. This can disturb your sleep and make you irritated. A dad to be has to control these tendencies and be patient with his child. Men have a tendency to stay aloof from the child care process, but this is more of a psyche as men and women are both good child care apprentices. Dad’s should remember the adage “The child is the father of the man”. This means every child will be a father one day, and every father was a child once. A new dad must be diplomatic when it comes to asking for favors from neighbors, doctors, nurses and other people as a child birth is a an occurrence he is not well versed with. It means more responsibility and patience.
Many dad’s have a tendency to impose their expectation’s and desires on their children. Many want their wards to be pilots, engineers, doctors or senators of their state. But, they forget to ask their children what they would prefer to be. Many might start training their babies from childhood and whispering words in their ears. Children of very little age cannot comprehend such language and reading a pilot’s manual to a week old child is not a good idea. What a baby needs is care, love and affection. Parents with dogs can train them to bring nappies or other objects as a way of getting help, when overloaded with a child. Many women bring their mothers or sisters as a way of getting help to take care of their little child. Women with maternity leave have to go back to work. Hence, the child has to be admitted to day care and collected at the end of the day. Babies have to be taught to speak words every day, so that they can eventually be able to speak them clearly. A crying child is an indication of thirst, hunger, pain, or other wants. A dad has to understand what his child wants by spending more time and being patient with his child.
